Four days in Tokyo was the best Christmas present I could have ever given myself. I first flew to Manila, dropped off my stuff and flew to Tokyo's Narita
with a backpack the next day. I stayed with some friends who have been in Japan for a few months studying Japanese at the IC University. I slept on tatami mats and maneuvered myself in their closet-sized bathroom. I biked around Tokyo's suburbs drunk with no sensation in my frozen fingers.
I ate $5 ramen more than I can count. I ran around the biggest Kinokuniya bookstore like a child and had my last ¥1000 (US$100) changed into smaller bills from a
vending machine. I had a blast.
